Poor | For the second time in a row, I arrived at the surgery to find that my appointment had been cancelled. As had happened the time before, I was told that a text had been sent advising me of the cancellation. I had not received it. Indeed, the cancellation text did not appear on my mobile phone until several minutes after I had been at the surgery. | Please realise that mobile phone text messages are often not received immediately by their intended recipients. For a variety of reasons, their delivery may be delayed. Actual phone calls take place in real time and would have a much greater chance of getting news of cancellations to patients in time to prevent unnecessary journeys. | December 15, 2023 at 7:12 pm |
