New Telephone System

In response to patient feedback Markfield Surgery has invested in a new phone system. This is a big change for the surgery and is the result of months of work and planning, which includes the replacement of all our phone lines and over 30 handsets.

Our main number 01530 242313 will stay the same, however the new system provides for some exciting new functionality, including:

· Queue position announcements – You will be told your position in the queue and as and when you advance in the queue.

· Call back facility – the system will offer to call you back, whilst retaining your position in the queue, so you do not have to stay on the phone.

· Integration into the clinical system – the new telephone system integrates into the clinical system providing a number of benefits to both the practice and the patients.

· Call recording – the new system will record all calls to protect our patients and healthcare professionals, we will also occasionally use recordings for staff training and quality control.

The new system is but one of a number of improvements we are planning over the coming months to improve our communications and range of services.
