Please do not enter the building to drop off prescription requests - there is a post box clearly labelled outside for you to post your requests through.
If you have regular medication for a condition, that your doctor is aware of, you can periodically collect a repeat prescription from the practice without having to make an appointment.
Please help reduce medicine waste by only ordering repeat prescriptions when you need to and don't stockpile medicines as they could go out of date or be taken by someone they are not intended for.
You should also expect to have a medication review with your Doctor at least once a year and the surgery will usually send out a reminder so please help us by finding out when your review is due and booking appointment.
Repeat prescription requests can be made by the following ways:
Our practice has been enabled to take repeat prescriptions online. In order to make use of this facility, you must be registered as a patient with our practice. Only then can you register with this service. You can register with this practice/service by contacting us on: 01530 249461.

We are pleased to inform you that Leicestershire Primary Care Trust in conjunction with Markfield Medical Centre, are offering an exciting new service called Electronic Prescription service. This service gives you the opportunity to change how your GP sends your prescription to the place you choose to collect your medicines from.
Patients, who are on regular medication, are being invited to take advantage of this new service to enable your repeat prescriptions to be issued electronically.
The benefits to our patients who are on regular daily medication or are already signed up for the Repeat Dispensing Service is that the new service will be more accurate as the prescription information won't have to be retyped into the computer at the pharmacy.
How will I Obtain My Prescription?
Prescription requests can be made directly to the GP surgery in the usual way.
How Does Electronic Repeat Dispensing Work?
For existing patients who use this service there will be no change to the existing process, for new patients who are on regular daily medication and who would like to take advantage of not having to request each month you can request to sign up for the Electronic Repeat Dispensing Service and collect your repeat medicines from the pharmacy of your choice every 28 days for 6 or 12 months.
If you are interested in signing up for the scheme please ring us on 01530 249461 and speak to a member of staff.
