Health Visitors
Health Visitors can be contacted on 01530 249655. Health visitors visit the parents following the birth of a child after the tenth day, and will do so periodically until the child enters school. This is to provide advice on all aspects of care, health, feeding and parenting. Health visitors are concerned with the prevention of disease. They also monitor development and growth, so there is early detection of any lack of development or problem and make referrals as appropriate.
Midwife
Our midwife can be contacted at the Ante-Natal Clinic which is held in the surgery every Wednesday afternoon. There is close co-operation between midwife and doctor providing continuity of care throughout pregnancy and for 10 days after delivery.
Community Nurses
The community nurses hold surgeries 3 mornings a week for dressings, injections, and stitch removals. They also look after those who need home nursing care and are available for incontinence advice. They can be contacted on 01530 468590.
